Is there a way to tell if this will help my child?

Yes. Dr. Hoffmann developed an assessment tool to determine if a student is low in one or more of the sensory areas. These tests are repeated every 4 weeks to determine the growth.

How long does the program take?

Normally 1-3 cycles are all that is needed to alleviate the processing weaknesses. Each cycle consist of one hour sessions 3 times a week for 4 weeks.

How much growth can we expect?

Our records show an average processing increase of 5-24 months for each 4 week cycle.

Is there homework or a commitment on the parent’s time?

There is not homework and the only thing a parent needs to do is make sure the child gets there.

Is this program strictly for children?

No. We have had students as old as 89. Usually, children respond more quickly, however the program also helps adults.

How early can I start my child?

Self-esteem begins to be effected seriously around second or third grade so this is an excellent time to catch these problems, though we have had good results with younger and older children. It is vital that the child be solid with colors, shapes, and numbers 1-6.

Do you offer tutoring?

No. Often when students finish our program they are able to catch themselves up without  additonal help.  It seems the information given the child by parents and teachers has always been there but has been unavailable to the student when needed.

How much does it cost?

Each 4 week cycle (12 classes) is $300. Partial and full scholarships, bartering and payment plans are available.

How will my donation be used?

A person donating to this project will have the option of designating their funds be used by a specific individual (on our waiting list or someone they name), to a specific area of interest (learning difficulties, ADHD, autism, etc.) or left to our disgression to use where needed.
